Then there's Google Sketchup 3d which I'm learning to model low res buildings, interiors, objects on. Let's face most of us can't afford Maya and other expensive programs.

A fun sketch engine to help concept artist generate ideas. I love the mirror technique and random shapes. It helps gerate random shapes to come up with silhouette ideas. There's a video in the video section of importing the alchmey as a texture map into z-brush so you can carve the design into you clay figure. I would love to work in z-brush someday.
