Another Day in Paradise

My boyfriend and I took photos of this awesome double rainbow after a thunderstorm. I keep getting reminded of the story of Noah's Ark in the Bible(or older tale of Gilgamesh meets Eurphishtim) and of God's promise not to flood the Earth, I just hope the people living alongside the Mississippi can see this and that the floods will subside soon. I just have to say"hey Look Hun..a rainbow!", and we ran out in the drizzle and snapped 40 pics. It was awesome as was the susets.

There is truly life outside of my apartment(ave q song) afterall!

We also found out we can have a pretty decent evening at the beach for under $6.00 spent on the bus, instead of paying money for a rental car. I don't drive a car, not because of choice, but by economics, but with the prices increasing everywhere, the bus is not a bad alternative. We went later in the evening, took the trolley to St. Armand's Key and then walked to the beach to swim in the warm waters of the gulf. After sunset we went out to dinner and managed because of slow service of the restaurant waitstaff to catch the last trolley/bus home. But It was such a great day, I needed the excercise and inspiration. Set and I kidded eachother about retirng here. We could have just pitched a tent right there, but I don't htink they would have allowed that. Oh well.

It's great having my boyfriend here, my real life Yori-sama! He felw here to keep me motivated and cheered up! He's great as a model or to roleplay with for character info. Although today we had to get refills for my depleted first aid kit, it's good to be prepared, my BF cut his fingertip off and and he had used up my supplies. ^^; I have a kit because of preparedness...I have a girlscout upbringing, my dad's a retired Paramedic and I'm a clutz, so I have to have one for home and one for school. I've even had the occasion to bandage up a classmate who cut her hand while scraping down her palette with a razor blade. The other big reason is to be prepared for either hurricane season in FLorida or Earthquakes in California or Diasters period. I feel safer having it nearby, because "you never Know."
